Pioneering filmmaker Eckhart Schmidt started his career in Munich, Germany, in the triple role of producer-writer-director of features. He followed up with award winning opera films and romantic features filmed in Italy. Since the mid-90ties Eckhart has been dividing his time between Munich and Los Angeles where he was among the first to shoot in HD format. Filmed over the winter of 2009/2010 on Hollywood Blvd and Rodeo Drive and the Saharan Motor Inn, starring Jasna Novosel and Amber Waddick. In Eckhart's own words: "Extreme, Radical, Erotic". Eckhart Schmidt's Work in Europe

Eckhart Schmidt started his career as writer-director-producer in the 1970s and 80s in Europe. He met success early with his feature films “The Fan”, “The Story”, “Loft” and “Alpha City”.

At the same time he excelled in directing opera films like Hans Werner Henze's “Der Prinz von Homburg” and Richard Wagner's “Ring des Nibelungen".

In the 1990s Eckhart shot films about romantic topics like “Undine”, “Der Sandmann”, and “Broken Hearts” in Italy.
