Pioneering filmmaker Eckhart Schmidt started his career in Munich, Germany, in the triple role of producer-writer-director of features. He followed up with award winning opera films and romantic features filmed in Italy. Since the mid-90ties Eckhart has been dividing his time between Munich and Los Angeles where he was among the first to shoot in HD format.
